For nearly 20 years, I served as the Director of Faith Formation for St. Peter's Church in Rome, NY. About six years ago, I was invited into a diocesan leadership program in the Diocese of Syracuse that prepared me for a deeper, more meaningful role in the Church. I now serve as a Pastoral Associate in a parish made up of four churches that have merged into one faith community. This has not been easy—some people have entered this new reality with open minds and hearts, while others have come in kicking and screaming. My hope is to gently remind everyone that our faith is not about a building; it is about building community and deepening our relationship with God.

How does SU fit in?

It is giving me the tools I need to do the job, culminating in a BPS Degree in Creative Leadership.
